The Final Deadline
So Thats the end of 'Text and Image' the final deadline was today and I handed everything in early this morning. The next project is a live brief for a charity called 'WAR ON WANT'. We had a talk a week or two ago to learn about this small ran, 'Radicle' charity. I feel that if I was to choose a brief/charity this wouldn't be the one. This will be a good learning curve to understand how to cope/handle working with a client that maybe you don't agree on all their principals.

Book Binding
Today I've been looking at book binding and all different ways of working and possibilities of end products. Tomorrow I will be trying to do harder styles of binding the I have previously. The two books I have looked at that have helped understand the possibilities are 'Japanese Book Binding' by Kojiro Ikegami and 'Handmade Books' by Sue M. Doggett.

DADA POEM
Just looked at the Dada poem task where i have to cut words out of a magazine and scramble them up put them in a bag and pick out 15 max words. with this we then draw an image corresponding to the sentence the words make.
This is what I got:
Access, Impatience, Recyclage, Man, You're, A, Virtue, Windows, Hot, Of, Rock
The image is still being looked at and will post this as soon as its done, I will show my working too. At this moment of time I'm looking at the single words, what they mean, and how I can relate them to the other words and if the images change if the words are together.

Designers Awards 09
This is the National Design Metalworks 2009. Some of the winners of this I think should be shown on my Blog. To see where the Ideas are going in design. The website for this is http://www.museums-sheffield.org.uk/coresite/html/NMDA.asp.
Graphic Design Was Lee Bamforth
2D Illustration Was Barton Damer
Character Design Was Aaron Atchison
These are only A few But these three are the main ones that speak to me. For the future of design, it shows how we are going forward and the great ideas still coming to the Public View.
Art Inspiration
Looking at Art Inspiring you there's a Few designers I've been looking at Emily Aliston. There's also Tim Bradford. Then a Studio Called BLUP UK I Love the look of this website smooth and easy to navigate.

Letter Press
Well I finally did it Print Press. And it was awesome a true hands on approach to type. The smell and feel of designing. Nothing computer based about this. you can see on my photos with Flickr what I did and how they came out Pics
Type And Tape
Starting at 12:00 I got to design type out of tape. the basis of this was to go out in the world and design fonts with just tape. Really enjoyable to get doing this even if it was raining. I have some of the photos of this on my Flickr page that I have now linked to this Blog. Have a look and tell me what you think.

CRIT
Had the Crit today and I think it went ok. I went for the RED colour of the illustration. One of the main things that got focused on was the council house, Unfortunately this isn't what I wanted to focus on. It seemed to just get to be a bigger and bigger issue when talking about it. It was a bit too risqué supposedly. Apart from that all went well.
